An electronic igniter button sits to the left of the main burner knobs on the control surface. You can illuminate all four burner control knobs (as well as the side burner knob) by pressing the Light button to the right of them. The Sear Zone burner works in tandem with the two adjoining burners to generate extremely high heat for searing meats. Weber classifies the EPX-335 as a three-burner grill, but it actually has four internal burners: three main burners and a Sear Zone burner that sits between the two larger burners on the right side. The two main porcelain-covered cast iron grates provide 513 square inches of cooking space, and a stainless steel upper grate folds out to provide another 274 square inches of surface area. It's thus just as useful for low-and-slow cooking as high-heat searing. The grill uses either natural or propane gas (not included) and has a cooking temperature range between approximately 200 and 700 degrees Fahrenheit (depending on the ambient outdoor temperature). You also get a user guide, a manual, and a disposable drip tray in the box. The latter part enables you to use accessories such as a wok, a Dutch oven, and a pizza stone. The grill comes with all the necessary assembly hardware and wrenches, two main cooking grates, an upper grate, four flavor bars, three heat shields, one probe, and a Weber Crafted Cooking Grate and Frame that replaces one of the main grates. They run on three C-batteries (included) that you can easily replace. The LEDs turn off automatically when you close the lid and then back on once you open it. A rubber button on the right end of the handle turns on a pair of internal lamps that illuminate the cooking area at night.
The painted black lid sports chrome trim, a chrome Weber badge, and a polished steel handle. The left shelf conceals a side burner and the right one contains the Weber Connect control module (more on this later).
Four hard rubber casters make it easy to move the 210-pound grill from place to place, while two stainless steel side shelves provide plenty of space for food preparation. It stands 63 inches high (with the lid open), 62 inches wide, and 31 inches deep. The durable and stylish EPX-335 uses a mix of polished and painted stainless steel.
